This eco-friendly necklace was crafted using real walnut leaves picked right from my garden. A thin layer of reclaimed. 999 fine silver is made into a paste and painted onto each leaf, then left to dry completely before adding the next coat.

This process is repeated until there is enough silver to give the pieces a substantial thickness, usually not less than 30 coats. The leaves are then fired in a kiln where the silver paste fuses together creating a solid fine silver, while the actual leaves burns away, but not before creating their one of a kind impressions. A patina is added to highlight the veins. Finally the silver leaves are then attached to a sterling silver chain, clasp, & extender and all the links a fused closed for added strength.
