Vintage 1973 14K White Gold Single Diamond Pendant 18 Inch Necklace

Vintage 1973 14k white gold single diamond pendant 18 inch necklace. This diamond and gold necklace is so dainty and beautiful it features a textured white gold front and is accented with a single diamond. It's a dimensional pendant with the lower portion being smooth metal for a nice contrast against the textured portion. Dark areas are reflections due to the pendant being dimensional. The back of the pendant shows a couple of very tiny imperfections in the gold made during production.

The pendant is unmarked for metal content or maker but acid tests positive for 14k gold and the diamond tests positive with a gemoro tester. The necklace is a fine link chain and is marked 14k along with a maker's mark of a head in profile.

The necklace measures 18-1/4 inches and closes with a functioning spring ring clasp. Pendant is 11/16 inch long and 7/16 inch side to side. Weight is 1.8 grams. The chain and pendant show light surface scratches and look good for being almost 50 years old.

As a child, i tagged along as we headed to the most popular jewelry shop in town. Back before malls were getting popular and way before anyone dreamed of online shopping, this little jewelry shop was a family owned business and had been there for many years.
