Mexican 925 Sterling Necklace circa 1940 Sterling Pearls Necklace Choker length sterling necklace Necklace for her Sterling Pearls Choker

Mexican 925 sterling necklace circa 1940 sterling "pearls" necklace choker length sterling necklacenecklace for hersterling pearls choker. A traditional unpolished /fully tarnished sterling silver stamped "mexico silver". The necklace is made in the old navajo style of "graduated sterling silver pearls" from the late 1930's to early 1940's. Being as this necklace is a fine example of true "native american" jewelry i'm adding it to my "native american pawn" section. There was a time in history when the mexican "border line" did not exist and true "native americans" included aboriginal peoples from all of the "americas".

I've intentionally left the necklace in full tarnished mint condition. I'm a bit of a "purist" with old silver, preferring to wear the tarnish off rather than removing it completely and disrupting the naturally beautiful patina that comes with age. Please refer to the photos as they are an important part of the description. All weights and measures are approximate. Due to the use of a macro lens you may see details not visible to the naked eye.

Color balance may differ from one computer monitor to another. Clasp: hallmarked loop and "buckle". Stringing: secure original sterling handcrafted loop chain. Condition: excellent with full naturally occurring patina/tarnish from lack of wear. Bead size: graduated hollow round beads measuring 5mm (1/4") to 12mm (1/2") in diameter.

Weight: 14 gms/ 1/2 oz of sterling silver. ------------------ a brass gauge is included in photo #3 for scale. What an invaluable tool if you're interested in acquiring this "all important brass gauge for measuring in both metric and english measure to take the guess work out of it" click on the link below and hopefully there will still be one available, a very inexpensive yet priceless investment tell my sister kathryne "serene sent me".

This necklace would make an excellent gift to the woman who loves classical jewelry, and would make a wonderful addition to anyone's collection of southwestern silver /native american sterling jewelry.
