It's tough enough to find these original art deco pendants any longer but to find one in a pave rhinestone setting or in this scale is extremely rare the pendant on this has such a gorgeous design the entire pendant (including the bail) measures 2 3/8 inch (6 cm) long by 15/16 inches (2.3 cm) wide. The pendant features thick clear rock crystal glass with radial designs cut in the glass on the reverse side. (note that the designs are cut rather than pressed into the glass) the glass is set in a so art deco designed setting that is completely encrusted with sparkly crystal rhinestones. The center is adorned with a sparkly crystal rhinestone pave set in a diamond shaped applied piece. I absolutely adore the ornate rhinestone adorned bail on this one.
When i found this treasure, the chain was damaged so i've hung it from the perfect platinum toned long link chain that closes with a filigree pinch clasp. Necklace measures 17 inches (43.2 cm) long with an additional drop of 2 3/8 inches (6 cm). This jewel is in excellent vintage condition with no scratches to the glass and the rhinestones still sparkly.Though still so full of sparkle, the jewel has mellowed just a tad creating that softer authentic antique look and feel that can only be achieved with age. This gorgeous art deco/edwardian silver camphor glass necklace will be perfect for your big day and a wonderful heirloom keepsake to pass down to the next generation some day. I love camphor glass and have several camphor pieces including earrings and bracelets that would coordinate beautifully.
