This necklace is sawed from a big sheet of sterling silver and then formed with a rubber mallet on a neck mandrel (which is a bust form made of bronze or steel - the metal it's made from must be harder then silver or silver will shape it instead of it shaping silver :) please read below about the creation process.

After several week of drawing and hands on trial and error i finally settled on several that looked promising. I then made real size paper models of the designs (photo 5), cut them out and played around with adjusting, snipping some off adding some in and sticking them to my own neck with double sided tape until i was happy with the result. After that, the pattern is glued to the silver sheet and traced with magic marker.

The i sawed it along the line, polished the edges and formed it on the mandrel. This item is made of silver.
