Sustainably crafted our raw gemstone items are made using recycled silver and gold, and all raw gemstones are pulled from the waste stream of the mining industry. Swimming pool: chlorine is a harsh chemical, so if you accidentally forget to remove your jewelry before taking a dip, make sure to rinse and clean it well afterward.Contact with sweat: chemicals in our bodily fluids accelerates the tarnish process of sterling silver and may leave colored marks on the skin. The best thing to do is to rinse and dry your jewelry. Chemicals in lotions and perfumes can also cause silver jewelry to tarnish. Hot tub: the same idea as the swimming pool, but there's even more chlorine in the hot tub and the heat can accelerate the chemical reaction.
